We are Running and Walking 100kms in ONE DAY for Sick Kids in the Central West!
WHEN: Sunday 29th March 2026
Location: Gosling Creek Running Track
Time: 4.30am - 6.30pm (or however long it takes us!)
WHAT: We're running (and walking!) 100kms in one day for Sick Kids who are supported by Ronald McDonald House Central West
HOW: We'll complete 100 laps of the Gosling Creek Running Track which equals 100kms
WHY... When a child is injured or diagnosed with a serious illness, it affects the whole family. Lives can be turned upside down in an instant, placing enormous emotional and financial pressure on parents and loved ones.
That’s why we’re taking on a 100km run/walk in Orange on one day as part of Ronald McDonald House Central West NSW’s Run for Sick Kids 2026.
We have chosen to complete 100km as this is the distance between the towns of Parkes and Orange in Central West NSW.
Parkes is the number one town that families come from who stay at Ronald McDonald House in Orange when their ill or injured child or high-risk pregnant mum needs treatment and care by specialists here.
The funds we raise will help provide families with a safe “home away from home”, as well as vital emotional and financial support, so they can focus on what matters most — their child. From the first day in hospital and for as long as it takes, no family should have to face this journey alone.
The average cost of one night at Ronald McDonald House Central West is $190, which is why our goal is to cover at least 14 nights of accommodation for a family — and hopefully more with your support.
