Families living the reality of life with sick kids where treatment isn't available at home.
When our little girl Ginny was a baby she was diagnosed with a rare condition that caused her liver to fail. She underwent a gruelling 14 hour surgery to receive a liver transplant that saved her life.
Whilst receiving care and treatment in Sydney, our little family experienced first-hand the incredible generosity of the Ronald McDonald House Charity, spending over 130 nights in the Westmead house.
Now a healthy, happy and thriving 3-year-old, Ginny is bursting with life. We still venture down to Sydney regularly for check-ups, often staying in the Ronnie Mac house when there's room.
Without the support of the Ronald McDonald House Charity our time away from home would have been so much more stressful. They took care of such a significant aspect of our journey with Ginny for which we are forever grateful.
That’s why we are joining Ronald McDonald House Central West NSW 'Run for Sick Kids 2026'.
We will be working hard to raise money that will help families stay in a 'home-away-from-home', access emotional and financial support, and more. From day one in the hospital and for as long as it takes, your help ensures that families don’t have to navigate the challenges of illness or injury alone.
The average cost of a 1 night stay at Ronald McDonald House Central West is $190 - that's why we have set our target to cover 7 nights of accommodation for a family. We'd love to raise more with your help!
